We have a wide range of high precision meteorology instruments available in our factory help us guarantee that the strict measures required within the precision optics industry are followed. We make sure our laboratory is available to provide meteorology and testing services, not only in the field of optics but in all measurement activities that require high precision and resolution.
Spectrophotometry

You can find a Perkin Elmer LAMBDA 950 UV / Vis / NIR spectrophotometer within our range of machines which is equipped with tungsten and deuterium light sources to cover the broad spectrum from ultraviolet to infrared (300 - 3000 nm). Sample measurements can be carried out in reflection and in transmission, even at high absorption levels (5A) to help characterise interferometric and optical filters. The presence of a large sample compartment allows absorption spectroscopy on liquids and semi-liquids, with applications in the scientific, medical and cosmetic fields.
Interferometry

Our test room is equipped with a Zygo interferometer placed on a wide stabilised optical bench that allows the interferometric testing of optical elements such as lenses, prisms and windows. The deformation of the wavefront of opto-mechanical systems and customized setups can be measured to meet customer requirements, including the setup of vertical positioning or at other system angles under test conditions.
Surface Meteorology

Thanks to a Zygo optical profilometer, we are able to reconstruct the surface topography to provide measurements of roughness with a resolution of less than a nanometer. The degree of flatness or the radius of curvature of the reflective surfaces can be measured with our Zygo interferometer. Defects or surface structures can be quantitatively characterised with a Quick Vision Mitutoyo optical vision machine which provides  detailed test reports, or identified with a Nikon microscope with magnification up to 100x.
Geometric Measurements

Thickness measurements can be carried out using the Xonox digital measurement system, guaranteeing high precision. Thanks to our experience in the use of autocollimators and optical goniometers, we can provide angle and perpendicular measurements.
Climate tests

A wide climatic chamber is available in our laboratory that allows us to subject optical elements and opto-mechanical systems, even with externally powered electronics, to extreme temperatures (-40°C), thermal shock and conditions of high humidity. We have certification showing that we conform to MIL and ISO standards and it is also possible to conduct customised resistance tests. All data is recorded with calibrated and certified probes.

The temperature and humidity trends can be provided for at each thermal cycle, measured by certified probes. The sampled points are filtered of any possible hazards providing precise and accurate measurements every 10 seconds. The figure shows a thermal cycle with gradient up to 4 K / min.
