The purpose of the mirrors and optical glasses is to divert the light beam while maintaining its energy characteristics, propagation direction and polarization: this is why the substrate on which the film is deposited must have a very refined surface finish both in terms of roughness and superficial accuracy.

Gestione SILO specializes in the processing of optical glasses, providing high efficiency mirrors with all the required geometries (flat, spherical, parabolic, hyperbolic, elliptical and aspherical), for astronomical, electro-medical, scientific and laser applications.

We regularly collaborate with the most advanced laboratories to achieve targeted process qualifications. We are also available to the customer, upon request, to conduct customized qualification sessions of our processes for laser, military, aerospace and agri-food applications. Recently we have developed a process for the production of mirrors for solar concentrators with a diameter of 400 (CPV application). Our coating catalog also includes the spectral curves of the various types of treatment that can be deposited by standards.

MIRRORS WITH METALLIC COATING

Gilding - Particularly suitable for use in the IR band, we provide this type of metallization both with protection and without. For the most delicate products, we have a dedicated packaging line that allows both transport and storage and the product is supplied with precise instructions for handling the component.

Silvering - It is the most efficient metallization type in terms of VIS reflectivity, and near IR it is the most used treatment for astronomical and scientific applications. This type of process is also implemented with protection and without. Given its characteristics, is the optimal mirror to be used in standard environments.

Aluminizing - This is the mechanically more resistant mirror and therefore more suitable for applications that require its use in an external environment or in any non-standard case. This type of process is available with protection and without protection, this coating also exists in the enhanced version with higher reflectivity characteristics.

DIELECTRIC MIRRORS (HR / BHR)
